In Britain Idealism may not have been common, but the German form of philosophical Idealism is very well-known, especially through philosophers like Kant, Hegel and Fichte. In this chapter, I will discuss the influence both Kant and Hegel had on the British Idealists. Though not necessarily a German Idealist, Marx will also be discussed, for he was greatly influenced by Hegel and since he made well-known contributions to political philosophy that the British Idealists may have been affected by.
